Is It Worth Filing A Trademark Without A Lawyer?

I filed 2 trademarks in the past. One with a lawyer friend who charged me $750 and another time through legalzoom.com who charged me under $500. Assuming I have my facts correct and the Government fees are $325, it may not be worth saving the $169 more that online services may charge. However, maybe its easy as some simple paperwork or maybe I dont have my numbers right altogether. Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

As long as you’ve done your research and know exactly what forms to file, a Trademark isn’t a complicated process. Doing it yourself will take some work, so all you really have to ask is how much your time is worth.
Get the forms and do the poor man system of trademarks and some other except business trade names. Just feel out the forms, then seal it with a postmark dated to yourself. When you get it back, never ever open it, In case some one infringe on your trademark, it has been postmarked when you came with the idea. If you have to go to court, let the judge open it in the court room, where all would be documented. Do the research first and make sure your idea is original before doing this method.
I have done quite a few legal things without a lawyer. I did a name change. I went to court over child support.
You are already familiar with everything it takes so do it yourself. Why pay somebody to do something you can do. I got a divorce.
